"We all love Punta Gorda.  That is why we chose to live here.  For the parks, the water, the restaurants, and for the amazing friendships we have with our neighbors.  Many of you are concerned about the future of Punta Gorda.  Like many of you, I love the "Harborside Hometown" feel of our city.  Most of the residents I speak with understand that development is needed, but new development must be reasonable and it must conform to our city and its image.  Please let me know your thoughts and join with me to preserve our hometown and our history."

PRESERVING THE HISTORY OF PUNTA GORDA

Ensure that future generations can appreciate and learn from the past while building a foundation for Punta Gorda's future development

FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY

Responsible budgeting, efficient resource allocation, and transparent financial management ensures long-term stability, supports essential services, attracts investment, and promotes economic resilience, ultimately benefiting the residents and fostering a thriving local economy.

KEEP PUNTA GORDA A DESIREABLE PLACE TO LIVE, WORK, AND PLAY

Punta Gorda embodies a sense of community where neighbors forge genuine friendships and reminisce about a time when everyone knew one another.  Its a place where cherished memories come alive, from nostalgic cars in the garage to enjoying water toys and friendly greetings during leisurely strolls.  Preserving this small-town ambiance while promoting development ensures that our children and grandchildren can relish the same authentic experience and create their own treasured moments in the area.

ENCOURAGE THE GROWTH OF LOCAL BUSINESSES
Punta Gorda's charm lies in its vibrant small businesses, including mom-and-pop shops and restaurants, making it a multi-visit destination.  It is crucial to prioritize and sustain these local establishments by actively supporting and welcoming new small businesses, allowing them to flourish and enhancing the community's economic vitality.
